Do poodle puppies have different coats than fully grown poodles?
The other day I went to a local pet store to see the poodle puppies. I was told by the man there that the 2 month male poodle puppy he had there was all poodle with no other breed mixed in. His fur was so fluffy it was more like a Pomeranian but his face was all poodle. 
I asked the man if there is a difference between poodle puppy fur and adult poodle fur because all of the poodles I know have the curly hair, the mark of a true poodle. He didn’t seem to know. He showed me the papers and I saw the parents’ names but it didn’t list their breed. It did say “poodle” on the paper though. I was wondering if anyone knows if there’s a difference between poodle puppy fur and adult fur or if this guy was just trying to make a sale by telling me the puppy was all poodle?
I’m actually not ready to get a dog yet, and I won’t be for a few years, I’m just doing research way in advance. Thanks for your help and advice.
Yes, it takes a while for that second poodle coat to set it, much like birds. They dont get their feathers until after they have matured, hope this helps:D
