The Lowdown On The Skincare Cosmetics Industry

The skincare cosmetics industry is huge business these days. These companies are making a fortune, mostly at the expense of uninformed consumers. People are spending a lot of money on these products and it is time that people became more educated on what is the difference between bad ingredients and good ingredients are.

Look at your medicine cabinet; is there a whole bunch of unused anti aging skincare products in there? You have bought products that you thought would work but the just would not work as advertised. You may have noticed Hollywood celebrities promoting the latest greatest skin creams. Large skincare cosmetics companies spend a fortune on advertising and it works. People buy these products like crazy. However, do you really think that the celebrity really uses a brand name product?

The main reason these skincare cosmetics products do not work is the ingredients they use. These ingredients can cause rashes, skin irritation, dryness and acne. Some of these ineffective ingredients include mineral oil, fragrances and preservatives or parabens.

Mineral oil is used in many skincare cosmetics because it is a cheap additive and it will leave your skin feeling soft. However, it will clog your pores, which could lead to acne breakouts.

Effective skincare cosmetics should not contain fragrances. Fragrances can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions. Anti aging skincare, products should not contain parabens either. These preservatives are added to give the product a longer shelf life. This just means that the product will sit on the shelf until it is sold.

If you educate yourself on what you should avoid in a skin care product, then you should also be aware of what the safe ingredients are. You should be using anti aging skincare creams containing natural ingredients.

Here are some of the best natural ingredients. Functional keratin, which is found in a substance called Cynergy TK. If you have a product that contains this then chances are it will help reduce the lines and wrinkles associated with the aging process. Other very effective natural ingredients include grape seed oil, Manuka honey, and fish oil and phytessence wakame.

Phytessence wakame is derived from a specific type of Japanese sea kelp. All of the natural substances I have mentioned work at restoring the softness and elasticity of your skin. If you would like more information on the ingredients to avoid in skincare cosmetics or on the natural substances used in the best anti aging skincare creams then please visit my website today.

It is allied to the sense of smell. Both the taste and smell are nerve sensations caused by ethereal vibrations, but those of smell are shorten, and affect the nervous system before the object causing them is observed, while the taste requires the immediate contact of the substance with the tongue. Flavor is of great importance to nutrients, although it has no direct influence on the nutritive value of the foods. It is but a valuable aid to make them enjoyable, and its first action is di rected to the nerves of the tongue. A Consumer’s Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients: Complete Information about the Harmful and Desirable Ingredients Found in Cosme

$17.02

Everything you need to know about the safety and efficacy of cosmetics and cosmeceuticals. Is it a cosmetic? A drug? A nutrient? It’s becoming more and more difficult to tell the difference with the cosmetic companies combining the three. And unlike with food additives, the FDA has little control over what goes into the products that claim to make you look more beautiful-even though cosmeceuticals (cosmetics that purport to have druglike benefits) have skyrocketed into a multibillion-dollar industry. So before you slather on that "wrinkle-reducing" cream or swallow a "skin-rejuvenating"vitamin, find out what’s in your health and beauty products with "A Consumer’s Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients." This updated and expanded edition gives you the facts you need to protect yourself and your family from possible irritants, confusing chemical names, and the exaggerated claims of gimmicky additives. With 800 new ingredients found in toiletries, cosmetics, and cosmeceuticals-everything ranging from shampoo to shaving cream, bath lotions to Botox-this alphabetically organized guide evaluates them all, and includes targeted information for children and for people of color. "A Consumer’s Dictionary of Cosmetic Ingredients" is more indispensable than ever to anyone who cares about the health of themselves and their loved ones.

Facing Beauty: Painted Women and Cosmetic Art

Facing Beauty: Painted Women and Cosmetic Art

$37.56

Throughout the history of the Western world, countless attempts have been made to define beauty in art and life, especially with regard to women’s bodies and faces. "Facing Beauty" examines concepts of female beauty in terms of the ideal and the real, investigating paradigms of beauty as represented in art and literature and how beauty has been enhanced by cosmetics and hairstyles. This thought-provoking book discusses the shifting perceptions of female beauty, concentrating on the period from about 1540 to 1940. It begins with the Renaissance, when a renewed emphasis on the individual was reflected in the celebration of beauty in the portraits of the day. The fluid, sensual lines of the Baroque period initiated a shift toward a more "natural" look, giving way in the 18th century to a more stylized and artificial face, a mask of ideal beauty. By the late 19th century, commercial beauty preparations had become more readily available, leading to new beauty industry technological developments in the early 20th century. Beauty salons and the wider availability of cosmetics revolutionized the way women saw themselves. Ravishing images of some of the most beautiful women in history, both real and ideal, accompanied by illustrations from costume books, fashion plates, advertisements, caricatures, and cosmetics, bring the evolving story of beauty to life on these pages.
